Olive Restaurant is the premier dining room of the Yasmak Hotel Group. Situated on the top floor of the Yasmak Sultan Hotel, Olive is an airy and bright room with floor-to-ceiling, wrap-around windows from which all of Istanbul’s most beautiful sights are at your feet. The panoramic view extends from Ayia Sophia which appears to be within touching distance, to all the major historical locations of the City-Centre, and out towards Dolmabahçe Palace and beyond to the northern reaches of the Bosphorus. 

This indoor-outdoor space is further enhanced with a delightful terrace for al fresco dining. Olive’s daytime shimmers with possibilites, while its nighttime glitters with promise. It is sparklingly decorated and boasts excellent service. But what truly defines a fine restaurant is the cooking, and here is where Olive’s greatest attraction lies. Its menu, masterfully executed, fuses traditional Ottoman cuisine with international delicacies and a special slate of creations by culinary celebrity Byron Ayanoglu, chef to the Stars (Robert De Niro, Mick Jagger, Richard Harris, Christopher Reeve and many others) during his long career as caterer to major Hollywood film-sets. 

Expect to savour rack of lamb with pistachios, wild mushroom böreks, pomegranate prawns, tangerine-marinated salmon, sea-bass with beurre-noir, steak au poivre, sauteed chestnuts, choice goat cheese baked and served on baby greens, chocolate baklava, flour-less hazelnut torte, and wine-poached pears. Olive will regale you with a repast to match its priceless views.
